SHOW INFORMATION
Please note that we would like to hold a small presentation showcase on Saturday 21st June 2008. The presentation is basically an introduction to performing and will hopefully ease the children into being on stage. Many children were worried about doing a full scale production to start with, so this should give them some experience in the run up to their production of Rumplestiltskin next year.
This presentation will involve all children participating in their groups and performing a song, dance and acting piece.
No costume or stress will be involved. The pupils will simply wear: Their theatre school t-shirt, black trousers and jazz shoes/dark trainers.
v However, as we want to ensure that the production is as seamless as possible, we will require ALL PUPILS TO ATTEND SOME EXTRA REHEARSALS.THE DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
THURSDAY 12th JUNE- 6.30pm- 7.45pm: COST £2.00
SAT 14TH JUNE- DRAMA CLASS WILL BE EXTENDED: 10.30- 1.00 (NO EXTRA COST)
MONDAY 16TH JUNE- 6.30pm-7.45pm- TECH REHEARSAL-STAGE (NO EXTRA COST)
THURSAY 19TH JUNE- 6.30pm-8.00pm- TECH AND PROP REHEARSAL COST £2.00
SHOW DAY: SATURDAY 21 ST JUNE -10.15am- 12.30pm (DRAMA CLASS AS USUAL, FOLLOWED BY SHOWCASE)
v SHOWCASE WILL START @ 1.00pm and be approx 45 mins long.
v THE PRESENTATION TICKETS WILL BE FREE, BUT TICKETED. TICKETS CAN BE COLLECTED FROM THURSDAY 12TH JUNE FROM FRONT DESK
IT IS VITAL THAT ALL PUPILS ATTEND! ALTHOUGH WE UNDERSTAND THAT MANY PUPILS HAVE OTHER CLUBS, WE WOULD APPRECAITE YOUR FULL COMMITTMENT TO OUR THEATRE SCHOOL AND MAKE THIS A PRIORITY IN THE PRE-SHOW REHEARSALS. FAILURE TO TURN UP FOR REHEARSALS IS DETRIMENTAL TO ANY PRODUCTION AS IT LEADS TO: LOW MORALE, A SHABBY PRODUCTION, UNCONFIDENT ACTORS AND IS HUGELY DISAPPOINTING FOR ALL INVOLVED. IF YOU KNOW THAT YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY REHEARSAL PLEASE INFORM SAM OR RACHAEL IMMEDIATELY!
FAILURE
The pupils have put lots of work into creating this showcase and they can’t wait. We are sure that you will support them fully in their showcase and hope that you enjoy their presentation!!!!!!
Until then…
Break a leg everyone!

THEATRE TRIP
A few weeks ago, all older pupils went along to the Citizens Theatre to watch 'Liar'. The play was fantastic and gave us all some great acting ideas for future drama classes. Everyone loved the production and can't wait to go to the theatre again.
Here are some photographs of our lovely day out:

Just a small note to say that all theatre tickets have been purchased, and The Citzens Group will be attending their chosen production.
THEATRE TRIP-OLDER GROUP ONLY- THE CITIZENS
Each week, your child attends classes and trains in the various sections involved in theatre. It is therefore vital that all pupils have the opportunity to go to the theatre in order to know why and how we act. We at Premiere Productions would love to take the pupils to see a theatrical production. Not only would it be an educational trip but an entertaining and a fantastic day out! Here’s what we have planned:
PRODUCTION- OLDER GROUP- THE CITIZENS ONLY
Theatre show: Liar
Theatre: The Citizens Theatre

The Citizens
DANCE: The group are currently working on ‘Don’t stop the Music’. This is a very difficult, energetic, fast and regimented dance. All pupils are working fantastically on the dance. KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!
DRAMA: The pupils are working on a range of scripts and monologues. The pupils have to memorise and act out the monologues alone. This enables all pupils to perfect and enhance their acting skills. All monologues require different characters, so this is proving to be lots of fun in class.

DANCE: The group are working on ‘Blame it on the Boogie’. Everyone is dazzling in this dance. WELL DONE!
DRAMA:The pupils are continuing to work on a specially written script ‘Bell Ringing’. Everyone is doing brilliantly as they try to learn and practise their lines.
